When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was five years old, I was always in trouble with my teachers and had to walk laps at recess. This gave me a lot of time to learn things about myself at a very young age. One of many things I learned in Math, Science, and History were my favorite subjects in school. Then in the next few years of school until the end of the third-grade year, I still found myself interested and eager to learn more about those subjects. The summer before fourth grade started I was diagnosed with “Legg Calve Perthes” which in simple terms is blood flow stopped going to my left hip and my hip started to deteriorate and slide out of the socket, and through the two years, I had two surgeries and had to relearn how to walk twice. That time in a cast from the waist down gave me even more time to learn about myself and my interests which were still the same. So I took the time to dig deeper into each one and found math and physics to be the most interesting to me. By the time I was fourteen, I had my last hip surgery, my third, but right after that I had some complications with an ingrown hair in my lower back which led to another year of eight surgeries, but this was a whole new world of pain. Not being able to sit or even move around, I still found myself at my computer as often as I can learning about math and science, and then I found the world of Computer Science, and when the surgeries stopped I found myself empty until I was sixteen. I am now seventeen and my life has been a roller coaster for sure, but finding the world of tech and computer science I am at an all time high. My Dream Job when I was five was a police officer or a fireman like every other kid. Growing up though has changed me a lot and led me to want to pursue a Back-end development Job or make software systems look pretty. This prompt was a hard one to write about, yet it brought back good, bad, sad, and happy memories which make me eager to see what is coming next in life.
